Capitulation for Filibuster Reform

The first day of the Senate was postponed for nearly three weeks while Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell negotiated filibuster reform that would enable the Senate to move the countries agenda forward.
Considering last years public lament by Senator Reid , and the pitiful body of work produced by this years Senate, that it would be a no brainer to get rid of the 60 vote rule and replace it with a majority vote. Failing that we could at least expect that we re-instate the talking rule which forces the filibustering Senator to argue his case on the senate floor.
We got neither one, and that is a lost opportunity to move this President's agenda forward. The minority obstructionists, led by Senator Mitch McConnell, have managed to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. The world is changing faster than ever before and we have to keep pace!
In order to keep pace we have to quicken the pace of Government. This, however takes vision and intestinal fortitude. I believe in this instance, the Senate Majority leader lacked both.
